Dear sir ,
I created a folder under root directory name news.Under this folder has lot of articles.
I created a custom template for the above folder.But still is not working. It fallbacks into
default template line.tpl file. can you give some suggestions about this.

Hi,

what are your relevant settings for the news folder in the siteaccess' override.ini? And where have you placed this settings in the override.ini? At the beginning, at the end, somewhere in the middle?

I opened the file setting/siteaccess/mysite/override.ini.append.php
but unable to find where has it .
But another file /node/view/full.tpl is woking .What is the problem if you tell me clearly
I will be very greatfull.

Hi,

how the template overriding works can be read at http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/3_6/templates/the_template_override_system

The last 2 entries in your override.ini is:

[line_folder]

The first one is the standard. The second one is created by you. (If you don't know it - probably the system has done it for you.) The problem is (cf. the link to the documentation) that the first matching rule is used. As the standard rule is more generic (the same as [news_line_folder] but without the section matching) and stands before the [news_line_folder] the standard matches for all folders.

Just permutate those both setting blocks. (And don't forget to clear your cache.)

It happens because Exponential finds the default match first, so it does not look for any other match.

You should change the order of the override conditions in the override.ini

The order should be:

Hi,

try to put the [news_line_folder] block at the beginning of your override.ini. And check if there are any typos. Don't forget to clear the caches. And - if it still doesn't work - check /var/log/error.log

Is this the whole error message? Or are there some other messages related to the same request/time?

Are you accessing this uri? Or is there a space missing somewhere? Doesn't look like a Exponential uri and doesn't look like a file path. Perhaps your other template is wrong (which produces the link output with this url).

My idea: open the logfile with

tail -f var/log/error.log

or something similar what shows you if there are new messages produced. Then make a request to the news folder with your browser and have a look, what changed in the error.log. Then report again.

Is your problem still the same like named in your first posting of this thread? Or is now a problem with your newly created templates?
